Description
Details: A fabulous and vibrantmini scarab pendant fabricated in 18k yellow gold with blue topaz, lapis, and diamonds. This delightful piece features contrasting textures with a faceted blue topaz above smooth lapis stones, representing the beetle’s body. The gemstones were intentionally sourced to complement each other color-wise. Patterns and engraved lines with tiny little pyramids define the piece and there are a few accent diamonds as well. This is a very wearable piece and features an engraved bale that opens, making it easy to attach to any chain or strand of beads.
Designer, Lauren Harwell Godfrey always infuses meaning in her pieces. She reports “I began work on these scarabs before a trip to Egypt. I have long been fascinated by the ancient culture and it’s rich visual use of hieroglyphs and symbols and was truly inspired while I was there. I especially love scarabs for what they represent: rebirth and renewal.”
