Colours pop when crystal is illuminated. This gorgeous piece is included with black tourmaline as well.

The cause of the beautiful green colour is unknown, it may be related to associated radioactive or rare-earth species, samples where tested and yielded surprising results; isotopes in the rare-earth element lanthanide series; lanthanum, ytterbium, cerium, neodymium, samarium, europium, gadolinium and holmium were detected although amounts were not determined.
