Its no surprise that Michael was inspired by the birch tree whendesigning this collection. He was not only drawn to the undeniable beauty of this fall staple, but to its symbolism of new beginnings,protection, and renewal. The one trait all 60 species of birch treesshare is their ability to paint nature with golden, warm tones onceautumn arrives. During his design process, Michael focused on theway autumn leaves cascade as they fall, as well as the birch tree’salternating leaf arrangement, where each leaf uniquely grows alongthe branch instead of across from one another in pairs.
