Sapphire Gemstone Information
Sapphire is the name for all members of the Corundrum group, apart from Red which is Ruby and another variety called Padparadscha, a pinkish orange variety. When used alone the name Sapphire assumes Blue Sapphire. Corundrum is the hardest stone after diamond.
PLEASE NOTE THERE ARE MANY OTHER SAPPHIRE TREATMENTS LIKE SURFACE DIFFUSION, BERYLLIUM TREATMENT AND GLASS FILLING. MANY SELLERS DO NOT DECLARE THESE TREATMENTS OR DO NOT KNOW ABOUT THEM. TAKE CARE WHO YOU BUY FROM! QUALITY WILL NEVER BE CHEAP.
