Description
Pyrite, or fools gold, is the same colour and its shape resembles gold. Its pale brassy yellow colour is composed of iron disulphide, while pyrite comes from the Greek pyrites lithos. The Greek means stone which strikes fire, this is in reference to the spark which is produced from iron pyrite striking iron.
